today was mother's day. i had a lovely day. we went to colin's house and had a brunch. i made a breakfast bake and coffee cake. i got mom the biggest box of chocolate that i could find. also, i had a little photo book made for her at the walmart photo lab and i got her a josh groban cd. erica got her a gorgous dorothy and the wizard of oz watch. dad got mom a collection of let's pretend audio tapes...way cool!

heather got me a lovely necklace with a charm of a little boy and the name colin. i love it!! erica got me the sweetest little necklace of cherries. too cute!!

here are my "kids" from the field trip on tuesday. they are a sweet bunch.

the zoo was so fun yesterday, im less tired tonite!! i made this for the bus driver that took us to the zoo. she was wonderful, she had such great control. it probably helped that there were 15+ adults on the bus but i really hope we get her for our beaver lake field trip next week. :)

today was the zoo...wow! it was really fun, stressful and tireing but overall fun! im asking some of the parents to email me some photos b/c i did not take a camera. im hoping that they will.

school was good today. i got to meet the kids in my class. they all seem sweet. they are so tall for 2nd graders, but in 2 months they will be 3rd graders. i love the schedule, lots of small blocks of activities. and the best is that specials is in the afternoon. that's great! the whole day is set up really nicely. next week i'll get a b'ville account, so i'll be able to log on to the computers and have my own email. i have to go on 3 field trips, that should be interesting...

so, im teaching math in mrs. c's room today and mr. c walks in. i was thinking omg what's he doin. well he went over to the ta (mrs. g) and said to her that he had to borrow me for a few minutes. since there are 3 ta's in that room...no biggie. well he took me in the hall and told me that mrs m's dr. is telling her to go to 1/2 days (she's expecting in july) and do i want to cover for the rest of the year.....oh yea!! and he thinks the 1/2 days will not last very long, maybe only a week or two. whooohoo!! so im teaching tomorrow full day and i'll shadow mrs. m around all day. then 1/2 days in the pm until she goes out full days!! so im a second grade teacher for the next two months...wow!

wow, i havent written in over a week. its been such a busy one. teaching alot and a slumber party on friday night. that was so much fun! we watched beauty and beast. i wasnt sure if colin would like it but he really seemed to. it's a bit girly at times, but he liked the little cup "chip" and the candle holder "luminear". he did not like the wolves or the bad guy. it really is a cute movie.

connie sent me a card for lucey. it was the sweetest thing ever, she's such a wonderful friend. i just found out today, that last week she had to put zoee, her black lab to sleep. it was exactly 10 days after lucey. so sad. zoee was 10 years old and had lung cancer. i feel so bad for connie and i can sympathize, especially now. it's such a difficult thing to loose a loved pet.

spent today with colin, played, did a little cleaning. i vacuumed the porch and so did colin (with the toy vacuum) too cute! we tidied up a bit b/c new boy starts tomorrow.

i finished my column at naptime. it's due on Thursday and i am usually such a procrastinator. i didnt want to do it after teaching for 3 days. bleech!! it needs a tiny bit of tweeking, i have to call we b to see if they carry the product that i mentioned but overall it's done!!

today we went to pick colin up around 9ish. then we went over to elden and i brought some cookies. after that colin and i played on the playground, he's really good. running all around and climbing on all kinds of things. im so proud of him, my sweet dolly!!

after that we came home and met nonni. we played for a while then erica took him up to watch burger meister (his fave). i went up at 2pm and fell asleep for 2 hours...i couldnt believe it. ive been so tired lately and its been hard to sleep. i guess i just needed the rest.

tomorrow we have 3 interview for some new kids here at honey bear. erica wants 4 kids enrolled, thats pleanty for her to handle on her own.

here are a few more lo's ive done over the past few weeks. i love the cricut! ive gotten three new cartridges. paper doll dress up, zoobaloo and happily ever after. i don't know which is my favorite at the moment.

i created a layout last night using zoobaloo cricut cartridge. it was so much fun to make. this is such a versatile cartridge. it has the cute font and all the wonderful animal shapes. plus it has some phrases, backgrounds and theme shapes...love it.



it's been two day since my sweet lou went to heaven. it is still very hard and im so sad. im trying to work through the saddness but it floods over me in waves...

up bright and early this am to get going on the cellar. im going to take some photos today, it's looking so good. im hoping we'll be finished today. there was so much stuff down there, it boggles my mind how we accumulated so much stuff! im glad it's all going. id like to throw away even more stuff.

im going to put a few things on craigs list. the preschool chairs, grandma's head board and a few more things. ive never used craigs list before but rita @ st. paul's has. and she says it's great!!

back to work!

i haven’t posted in almost a week. ive been teaching alot lately, its been nice. i really love being at one school consistently.

yesterday dad rented a dumpster, its in our drive way. between yesterday and today we have filled it up!!

i finished the st john's newsletter today and put up a blog for fr. o'brien.

today i asked heather if we could have a slumber party tonite. she said yes! it was so fun. colin is such a doll. he's been fooling around with erica for the last 1 1/2 hours. i think he may just be asleep now.

today was the party!!

we had such a great time!! colin loved his knights!! he played with them all morning.

i worked a full day at elden in kindergarten. those kids kept me movin!! tomorrow is only 1/2 day. that will be nice, when i get home i have to assemble and frost colin's castle cake. im really looking forward to it and his party.
