happy halloween!!

it's been a week and a half since i've been able to scrap...
i can't belive it. today is the day. it's halloween, i'm not teaching and i have the whole morning to put my room back together!!!

today's mom's birthday...happy birthday mom!!

im so sick, spent the whole day in bed. hopefully tomorrow i'll feel better!! colin is sick too... poooor sweet baboo!

i just entered this contest at flair designs. I love their pp's and i already had the layout done from my '07 hof entry. so i figured id give it a shot!

tonight we (mom, dad and i) went to a murder mystery play at the baldwinsville theatre guild in b'ville. it was awesome! the play was soooo good, scary, funny and exciting! i had the best time. at intermission we had delicious dessert. i had fudgy cake, so did dad. mom had raspberry cheesecake.yum!

i dropped a few more lo's off at web yesterday. while i was there i asked kathy if i could take some photos of my lo's. she said of course....

yippee, i finally got called to teach. b'ville called me last night and today i taught a 1/2 day am first grade. the kids were so sweet. i had 2 practicum students from suny oswego and a ta that popped in and out.
it was a nice morning, jam packed with reading and writing, two thinks i feel very comfortable with.
the practicum students were a bit aggressive, but i didn't mind to much. i probably would have minded if it were my own classroom. not aggressive towards the kids but when i say aggressive i mean they felt very free to jump in and direct the class in front of me. something i would have never done as a practicum student teacher.
but maybe that's good, it shows initiative. maybe it was b/c i was a sub also, i didn't know the routine. they were both very complimentary to me and we go to chat a bit before the kids came back from lunch. that was nice. it's always nice to hear what's going on in the field of education from those who are in the midst of it....

colin's back!!!! i missed that little guy so much, i don't even think i realized just how much i missed him.

i just got home from picking mom and dad up at the airport. their flight was on time...i had a nice time dog sitting for bailey and prancer.

today i did two layouts. one of caitlyn (hbcc student) and one of the pups.

fm has a job opening starting dec. 1 for a 6th grade. im going to call tomorrow. ha ha!!

today when i stopped in to we b scrapping kathy gave me a new line of bisous pdq pp's to do some layouts. they are amazing and gorgeous. kathy also gave me the chipboard elements and alphabet...awesome...and she let me pick some coordinating bazzill!! i can't wait to get started!

this is so beautiful....josh groban's voice is amazing. this is so well done and the first line is my favorite of the movie.

i did'nt get a chance to go to we b today. that's ok, i'll go tomorrow (actually it's today already).

erica and i are going to st. pauls for the quilting group. then afterwards, i'll go to we b. fun fun.

mom and dad are going to the dedication tomorrow. i think they are going to have a nice time. it's to bad that it's so hot is san antonio. i guess that's how it is in texas this time of year. yuck although the weather is not much better here in cny, soooo cold!

the friday before colin left for ri, we baked cookies. we made chocolate chip cookies, both colin and christina did a great job helping. it was alot of fun.

i did my column today. it took me a while, i could'nt focus and settle in to do it, so i finally finished around 6:30pm...

i picked up my new glasses also. i really love them. at first i wasnt sure about them but now that i have them and ive been wearing them around. i really love them. they are so light.

ive been hanging out with prancer and bailey. tomorrow im going to remember to bring my camera and take some shots of the two of them. soooo cute.

tomorrow i have to go to we b to pick up some ribbon and a new line of papers. im so excited to get started!!

i dropped mom and dad off @ the air port at 4:35. i've been back at home (4152) for about 1 1/2 hours now, i just can't make myself go to sleep. i know i'm going to regret that later....

today i met mom over at ac moore. she got a new fiskars paper trimmer, some distress ink, glue dots and a tape runner. she is all set to scrap her cool maya road chip board albums. she has already began 2 of them. sooo cool!

im procrastinating when i should be writing my column....

three more lo's for the we b dt.

today was another warm day. i think it hit 70. yesterday was a record, i think it was over 80. i saw syracuse on cnn this am. too funny!

today christina emi was a preschool. colin called from ri. he sounds so cute on the phone.

i went and got my eye exam and new glasses, they are cute, but im not in love with them. the really cute ones were $250. and $350. next time im getting vera bradley glasses. i don't care if they are $300!!

i completed a few layouts for we b. the pp is scribble scrabble, not really my style, but i made it work.

ive been working on colin's candy corn treat bag. im going to make one for christina emi also. erica and i will fill them with treats for our halloween party.

last night i went to we b to pick up my goodie bag and my first 2 projects.
my goodie bag was amazing!! love everything in it. lots of fun scenic route stuff, some primas, 2 technique tuesday stamp sets...





my first two projects are with two awesome paper lines, Daisy Bucket and Scribble Scrabble.

i started the candy corn bag last night. i got as far as the white. mom has some orange yarn that she said i could use. and i have some yellow. i think im going to make the handles either yellow or orange, not brown.


**btw...the blue yarn is my stitch marker.

colin and catie came to aunties today. heather had to go to a meeting about substitute teaching. so we got to have the kids for a couple of hours this am. then heather took catie and colin stayed for the afternoon.

i found this pattern on the lion brand website. im going to try and crochet it for colin....
