omg, i had one doozie of a day...a 5th grade. it's funny when i got the call two days ago to teach this class, i got a funny feeling in my stomach, kind of a warning. i thought oh im just being silly. well i am here to say, always follow your gut.
this class was unbelieveable, sassy, loud, uncooperative, busy bodies and by 3pm i had just about had enough.
individually these kids were great, fun to talk to and smart. but put them in a bunch and watch out!! one kid was slamming things, i know he would have never done that if his regular teacher was there. another kid was talking back to me as i was talking, being so rude and sassy that i couldnt believe it. i had to end the reading group early, b/c they were being so unbelievably rotten.
well, now i know, and i'll never take a job in that classroom again!!

today i took lucey to the vet. she has not used the litter box (except for tinkle) in over a week. i had to leave her all day, they gave her an enema and a bath. this did not make her happy, but now she should feel much better. im changing her food to canned and giving her supplements. hopefully this will help with dehydration and constipation.

teaching tomorrow at elden and thursday at palmer.

i was the resouce teacher today at elden. it was a great day, a little tireing b/c i stood hunched over kids for the last 2 hours of the day. but overall great and it was a full day.

taking lucey to the vet tomorrow. she is having trouble going to the bathroom and its affecting her eating habits. :(

i had a really fun day yesterday and a really sad day all in one. i spent the day with mom, we took down the christmas tree and labeled all the branches. that will make it much easier for next year! we also made a poster for her "troops" book drive at the church.
the bad news is, i took my car to be inspected and the brakes were broken....$1,450.00

ok, i found out something very important yesterday...do not save a bunch of layouts to scan all at once. i scanned 8 layouts yesterday. whoohhh that is to many, i must remember to scan as a go.

my three favorite teams made it to the final three in the amazing race tonite!! im psyched, i dont know yet who im rootin for, i think nick and don. but honestly i really like all three teams!!

been working on cover letters for most of the day....it's so difficult to know what to say and how to "grab" the reader!! i hope they sound ok.

erica and i went to pick up the kids this morning. we have both colin and catie for the day. its been nice. i just layed catie down for her nap. she did'nt want to nap at 1pm so i took her in the scrap room with me for a little while. then she started to yawn!!



so i rocked her for about 5 minutes and she was out like a light.

we are having a slumber party with colin tonite. he is really looking forward to it. so am i!

i started mittens. my first one was a sorry disaster...it looks like it might work more as a finger puppet than a mitten. i started a second one yesterday and im going to try and finish it today. colin wants granny glittens amazing mittens, he told me he wants to eat the mittens i make... i told him he can't eat them b/c they are made of yarn. he's toooo cute!!

last night was the first meeting for the church newsletter. fr. o'brien wants a hard copy newsletter to be pubbed quarterly. i suggested a blog as well, everyone seemed to like that idea. there were 5 of us plus fr. o'brien. hopefully we can get it together and put out a super newsletter.

this is our last week with colin before he goes to va for 2 months. erica and i are tying not to think about it to much but im sure it will hit us on saturday when they drive away. i cried alot when i first found out. im going to try and think of it as if he were going to ri for a couple week vacation.

we had him again today. he is such a sweet little guy. he keeps telling me that he wants five slumber parties. its so hard to explain days and time to a three year old.

i love him so much my heart hurts sometimes!

we spent tuesday at mom and dads. then yesterday i taught at elden. i was suppose to meet with mr. cardamone ( the principal ) but he was out.

today we have colin all day... we are going up stairs now to watch ratatoullie.

oh, i had the best day today. we went to the erie canal museum. colin, nonni, papa and me. it was so wonderful. we saw so many gingerbread houses in all shapes and sizes!

i was just reading the mb over at 2peas. a lady got a new lens for her camera...omgosh the photos she took are amazing!! the camera is a Canon 30D and the lens is an 85mm 1.8, i googled it and $1,500 is the cost, yikes!! maybe some day!

christmas was lovely, colin enjoyed all his presents and had a fun time playing with them this morning before they left for ri.

we had a nice time at mom and dads. i got my cricut!! whoo hooo im so excited. ive already used it twice. i ran home and got some scrapping stuff, then back to mom & dads to scrap a little before dinner. erica got a gorgeous singer sewing machine and she already started a quilt.

overall it was a wonderful day!!

well, it's christmas eve, what a crazy season this has been. im glad christmas is here. i still have all my wrapping to do but it's ok b/c i can do it tonite.

erica and i are going over to moms in a while. we are having a christmas eve early dinner with the fam. mom wants the kids to open her gifts, so that will be nice.

then tomorrow am we are going to chris and heather's to watch the kids (well, colin really) open their "santa" gifts and our gifts.

last night was our scrap party at we b scrappin', the design team. it was so much fun. those ladies are amazing! so friendly and welcoming. i had the best time! we chatted and scrapped and shopped! i cant wait until our next scrap party in februrary!

tonight is slumber party with the baboo! he is sick, poor sweetie. runny nose and horrible cough. ive been coughed on at the minimum 5 x's today full in the face....oh joy!!
