here are colin's invites...i had a great time creating them.

the men are finally gone, for the moment! today erica and i have been cleaning. we've got the upstairs bathroom almost put back together!! the kitchen is almost done, i just have to clean the stove and re arrange the cupboards...of course! the pre-k rooms are all back in order...

tonight is slumber party with colin. i taped wizard of oz for him and cut all the witch parts out! the witch is so scary!

erica and i have decided to give him a knights in shining armour party. im going to make the invitations tomorrow.

today was the pdc (professional development conference) day at b'ville. I went to 2 separate workshops. the am one was about assessment and math. the pm one was all about math games. both were very helpful and informative. the first on (the assessment) would have been better if i were teaching an actual grade level. but overall it was very informative. the second one was just fun b/c we were playing games. i love math games, im going to use them in my own classroom.

it's been such a crazy month. im so glad that march is almost over and hopefully, april will breath a new freshness into our lives. im ready for spring, the warmer weather, lighter clothes and being able to see colin more.
this has been such a long dreary winter, i dont seem to notice it as much while it's happening but now that the winter is almost over and i can see spring and summer on the horizon, im anxious for it to get here. i just want things settled. to know where i'll be teaching in the falltime and even if i'll be in my own classroom as opposed to subbing. im still so very hopeful that i will be in my own classroom. ive been working so hard at elden and trying so hard to make a good impression on the other teachers and especially the principal!
once i find out that i have a job for the fall time i'll breath easier. for now i'll just keep working as hard as i can.
and continue planning my time with my sweet colin...renaissance festival, nys fair, slumber parties....

wow, i havent posted in so long, this week has flown by. chris left on tuesday for his last 31 days of training before deployment. we had colin for slumber party tuesday and wednesday night. it was great!!!

i taught 4th grade tuesday, wednesday and today. whhheeewhh, im tuckered out. the fourth graders were really great, but what a change from first!

the men are still fixing the house up, our kitchen is almost finished. it is gorgeous!!! here are a few photos.

last night was chris' birthday/going away party. it was so much fun! we got to see so many people that we havent seen in years.erica's video was spectacular!

my sweet dolly came home yesterday!! i got the tightest, best hug from him ever!! i love my little sweetie so much!!

wheewh!! what a week. i can't believe i just taught my very first full week. im not counting student teaching b/c i was never alone. it was hard, exhausting, challenging and above all...awesome!!

my principal came in yesterday and observed me. he was only there for less than 5 minutes but he got to see the children all on task... thank god. i don't think it's typical for principals to observe subs so that must be a good thing!! im on his radar!! yippee!!

we talked to colin on the skype today. he was so cute playing with erica, laughing and smiling.
11 days and counting til colin is home!!

i created a lo of catherine and used their autumn splendor pp's. i adapted them for valentines day/february. i'd love to win b/c i would get two of their new lines of pp's. easter and amazing grace which is religious. they both are so pretty. actually the last time i was at we b i bought a page of the amazing grace pp to use for catherine's christening.

it's been such a busy week. i taught on wednesday and friday. mrs. s (k-teacher) signed me up for 2 more days!

erica started a new preschooler on tuesday. she is funny, very talkative. she and christina seem to be getting along.

i just picked mom and dad up from the airport. they are home safe and sound. i had a really nice time this weekend with bailey and prancie!!

yesterday was the crop at we b. it was so much fun. the ladies there are so amazing!! i got to see pam's new baby, she was so tiny!!
i did three layouts and bought a bunch of stuff. kathy gave me a $25 gift card. it was so awesome!!
today, after i get home i'm going to work on a coaster birthday book with some new pp's that kathy gave me to work on yesterday.

i've been feeling pretty run down for the last few days. after i got up this am, fed the dogs and went home, i fell asleep for 3 hours. i layed down at 1pm and woke up around 4:20. i couldnt believe it, the whole day was gone!!

tomorrow im going to we b for a dt crop. ive been looking forward to it since december. i baked a whole tin of choco-chip cookies. mom didnt have any b-sugar, so i left it out. the cookies are good but they would have been better with the b-sugar. owell!

im staying at mom and dads for the weekend. they are visiting with chris & co. down in virginia until monday. today i drove them to the airport. then rebecca brought baby panos over for a visit. he has the sweetest big blue eyes. he's such a sweet baby. rebecca is such a nice person, we had a great visit. i'll post some photos tomorrow.

i got a lot of running around this morning. i went to the bank, mom's house, the post office and nichols.
i still have to go to target and payless. i'll save that for friday.
we enrolled a new child for the preschool. her mom dropped off some paperwork this afternoon. christina's parents are going to be thrilled!

ive been doing a little bit of knitting and crocheting lately. i made this little cat toy for mrs. columbus' cat, butterscotch. i hope she likes it.

i crocheted this little pink blanket bear for pam's new baby. pam is one of the owners of we b scrappin' and she had her baby on valentine's day. we are having a crop at the store on saturday, im going to give it to her then.

we scrapped yesterday at the church, it was fun. i got quite a bit finished. i worked on an abc book for colin.

laurie worked on bookmarks and erica worked on her quilts. mom had a fun time organizing and planning her next project! fun day!!

we got to talk to colin on the skype today. he opened his package. he was so excited and loved everything in it!! right away he wanted to play with auntie erica and the robin hood puppets. i miss him alot!!

i didnt win the big contest at we b. that's ok, i really loved all the layouts that were submitted. the gal who won deserved it b/c her lo was wonderful. well actually all five of the lo's were amazing (not to toot my own horn) and really it could have been any of us.

i taught my very first class at we b last night. it went really well, i felt a little nervous at first but once it got rollin' we had alot of fun. there were two ladies and we altered heart boxes and made two cards. they were alot of fun!

it was blizzarding on the way home...yuck!

im so anxious for colin to come home. this is the longest we've gone with out seeing him. i miss him so much. one more month to go...30 days!
